Sosio’s Produce! Lowell’s freshest neighbor, best local selection of Pacific Northwest fruits, veggies, mushrooms and tastes…

Dine at Lowell’s, or stop into our BarAtTheMarket before grabbing tonight’s fresh and healthy dinner pickings from Sosio’s next door! If Lina doesn’t have it at her stand (Lina is the “Mother Theresa” of the market, I always have to throw her name into our posts), Mike and Al have it at their stand! Sosio’s has the LARGEST selection of fresh and healthy colorful Pacific Northwest produce in Pike Place Market. AND, they’ll hand out slices of Washington Honeycrisp apples or sweet local pears. When was the last taste of crisp, sweet and juicy “fresh off the trees” fruit, handed to you free from a smiling produce vendor? This blows the doors off of the conglomerates, they have it fresh and they know how to prepare things you’ve never prepared before, which takes the “fear factor” out of whipping up a celebrity chef meal! Stop by and see; you’ll love it!

Jack, Sonny & Ron…coffee daily @ Lowell’s, 7AM daily, for YEARS!

Part of our Lowell’s family! We love our coffee boys, anchoring Lowell’s 2nd floor bar for coffee daily. If it weren’t for Jack’s sports knowledge, Sonny’s heart felt positive takes on life and Ron’s awesome dry humor, our day would be lacking part of our heart!

Cheers,

~Mark, Gerardo, Raven, Tami, Jeremy & of course all our early birds that know what our boy’s bring to the day!

Each & every day begins with Jack, Sonny & Ron cheering us up!

Lowell’s Unique Bloody Mary Selection!

All of Lowell’s Bloody Marys are fresh, fresh, fresh; hand made from Pike Place Market herbs, peppers, veggies, oysters, smoked salmon, and on and on and on. We ju7st walk around the market and grab stuff to make them!

Our chalkboard in Lowell’s “Bar at the Market” on our 2nd floor shows a few of the most popular, but we can go uber-creative on you, just ask. Our “scratch” Bloody Mary mix that our bartenders mix up each morning for the day has over 20 ingredients in it to make it a fresh, deep, just-right-spiced tomato-herb base for the rest of what goes’ in them.

The most unique, from my perspective, are The Hangtown Mary and The Smoked Salmon Mary. Where else, but Lowell’s, do they have fun creating drinks with whatever their next door neighbors have freshest that day? The Rosemary-Fennel Mary takes you to the old country and the Pepper Mary is different from other’s Pepper Mary’s because we infuse our triple distilled vodka with 3 different peppers to add more complexity.

All our garnishes are pickled in house daily, the Hangtown Mary’s fresh oysters garnish comes over from pure Food Fish each morning, as well as the prawns for our Prawn Mary and the fresh alder wood smoked king salmon we infuse that one with.

Whether you want a fresh squeezed grapefruit Greyhound, a fresh squeezed orange juice Screwdriver or any other fresh Lowell’s “Bar at the Market” cocktails we’ve invented, or improved from other great bartender’s concoctions, you have to try one of our Bloody Marys when you hit the market. We’re proud of them, can you tell?

Cheer the morning…BLOODY MARY BOARD

Holiday “Hump Day” Breakfasts! Mid week, over the hump towards the weekend, 7:05AM

Line 'em up and get some holiday fuel, it's going to be a big day, breakfast first!

Line ’em up and get some holiday fuel, it’s going to be a big day, breakfast first!

As we’re doing weekly inventory this morning, Juan, Jeremy & I passed the heated service window and this line-up of breakfasts struck me; HUNGRY TIME! (This is NOT a posed picture, honest.)

Our “Hangtown Fry” with fresh grilled northwest oysters & smoked bacon, “Cinnamon-Vanilla French Toast”, “All-American Bacon & Eggs” (the most oftened ordered breakfast in the USA, statistics show, lol), Our thick “Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich”, Lowell’s hearty “Breakfast Bowl” (that cures any hangover by topping crispy hash brown potatoes with our fresh baked bacon-cheddar biscuits, eggs and sausage gravy!), and of course, Lowell’s Incredible Breakfast Tacos… all homemade goodness belly warming beginnings to the day.

By 7:05 we’ve been here two and a half hours counting food & booze, Harry is bringing in our fresh filleted king salmon & steamer clams for lunch service and Heather has us all jacked up with triple cafe’ lattes while Jack, Sonny & Ron anchor the second floor bar for their daily coffee and sports talk (Everyday, year in and year out, Jack, Sonny & Ron are at our first three spots at the bar, drinking coffee and BS-ing.)

Life is good, moments strung together, lucky to be here!

Recharging your Xmas Batteries… Lunch at Lowell’s!

Lunch time in Pike Place Market: Lowell’s three floor “hide away.” Same wall to wall views, same great fresh food & drinks & the same casual cheeriness since horsepower was measured by horses!

Hand breaded Alaskan cod fish & chips, grilled fish tacos with our home-made salsas, Dungeness crab/smoked salmon & prawn salad and many, many more selections to make your mid-day lunch stop a true sanctuary from the massive, hectic stress of the crowds beating down the malls up the street! Then after lunch, bolstered with a hot mug of spiced & spiked fresh washington cider, shop the market! Hit the shops “down under” below Lowell’s which are funky and unique, grab makings for dinner, stroll the craft stalls for home-made gifts instead of “Made in China” gifts.

Get in the spirit of the oldest and authentic vintage operating true “public market” in the United States of America, family owned and operated one-of-a-kind businesses since 1906. This isn’t a food court, this is Lowell’s Restaurant & Bar, “almost classy” since your grand parents we’re babies!

Cheers, see ya at lunch time!
