Lowell's Restaurant Seattle

Lowell’s 1st floor view into the “Heart of the Market”…head up to our 2nd floor booths one flight up for the best people watching spot in Seattle!

South doorsLowell’s looks like a little coffee shop & diner when looking into all of our 6 doors. These are our southernmost doors that open into the “Heart of the Market” and are at the base of our stairs leading up to our “hideaway bar” on our second floor, and even further up to our third floor dining room!

With all three floors viewing over the waterfront with wall to wall windows, we have been awarded “Best Unexpected View Restaurant” by Seattle’s WHERE MAGAZINE, and for obvious reasons. Looking into the arcade, or look into LOWELL’S from the arcade, who would imagine, unless you’re one of our many repeat visitors from around the world, daily locals or celebrities seeking a corner of privacy from the constant attention of recognition.

But it is this view, (but one floor up on our second floor), where we also have booths looking back into the arcade in addition to the opposite side’s panoramic windows, that is the most interesting! People watching from above, while taking a break with breakfast, lunch or dinner; cocktails, local ales or a glass of wine, this is one of the unique places you can easily miss unless you know it’s there,

Head in, head up, and take a break from the crowds with a view back into them, and enjoy private moments “right in the middle of the heart” where we are very lucky to be…

Cheers!

Another Fresh, New & Inspired “Lowell’s Seafood Soup!”

Juan’s makes incredible fresh seafood soups, and why wouldn’t he, being in the heart of Pike Place Market with the freshest bounty the Pacific Northwest has to offer!

Today’s version, with tomato & veggie stock is packed with fresh wild king salmon and Oregon Bay shrimp. It’s not as spicy as “Papa Juan’s Fish Soup”, which has some of Juan’s Latino heritage infused into the spicing, but offers a perfect balance of seafood, herbs, vegetables and soul.

This would be impossible to replicate at twice the price anywhere else, because the advantage of selecting the freshest from our neighbor’s is a luxury we never take for granted!

Cheers to everyone!

Vintage Public Market neon sign, international artist’s, and Lowell’s neons!

PUBLIC MARKET

PUBLIC MARKET 5Pike Place Market, recognized world wide as the oldest continually operated public farmers’ market in the United States, is both the destination in Seattle not to be missed, but also the focus of internationally recognized artists! Here you’ll see an “intaglio print etching” made by the famous artist Ed Ruscha of our “Public Market” sign that hovers over City Fish, six doors north Of Lowell’s entrance. Just one of the many incredible vintage neon signs around the market, which are an interesting tour unto themselves. (Lowell’s has two of the many, one in the main arcade, and one over the door leading into the main arcade from the Pike Place cobblestones. Check out all of the Pike Place neon signs, they’re “Smithsonian” worthy!

Another fantastic & unique Lowell’s Eggs Benedict special today…

Jan 22 2013Today’s breakfast special, another great Lowell’s Egg Benedict today. Lowell’s constructs many unique Eggs Benedicts EVERY DAY, not only on weekends or Sundays like everywhere else. In addition to our three signature Benedicts (Dungeness Crab Benedict, Smoked Wild King Salmon Benedict & the Classic Benedict with Canadian Bacon) today we’re also making our “Yakima Eggs Benedict” consisting of the same great rustic rosemary toast, poached local farm fresh eggs and herb Hollandaise sauce but also thick smoked American bacon, tomato slices, spinach and on the side our fresh avocado salsa fresca. (And crispy old-school hash brown potatoes, of course.)

Every day, we’ll make substitutions on our Eggs Benedicts to take them vegetarian or swap out some items for others (want sausage patties instead of Canadian bacon anyone? No problem!)

I would have put a tantalizing picture of one on the blog, but I took this picture when I was opening the doors at 7AM this morning, just like every other day of the week. Come in and take care of your chilly appetite with our hot and rich Yakima Eggs Benedict and look out over the 30 degree Pacific Northwestern foggy day we’re having so far today. (Sun breaks predicted for lunch time, come in and gaze out at the snow covered Olympic Mountains across Puget Sound, its toasty on all three floors.
