Lowell's Restaurant Seattle

Another great morning in the market!

Wake up! Walk down Post Alley from Pine and turn right when you see the Latino market on the left, turn right and see our Lowell’s Water View Restaurant & Bar neon above the entry door into the main arcade! That’s where our espressos are, as well as the best breakfasts in Seattle, freshest seafood, awesome chowders, fish & chips, handmade burgers & salads and everything else that’s made us famous.

Lowell’s is Seattle, authentic Seattle, and Lowell’s has been doing the “Seattle coffee thing” since before we were Lowell’s! (We were the first coffee bean roaster & retailer in Pike Place Market back in 1906)

This phone-photo was taken this morning; the day is gorgeous, the snow on the Olympics’ is white and shining and it is A NEW YEAR! 2013 promises to hold great surprises, HOPE for better solutions worldwide to vexing issues and another year of meeting great visitor’s and sharing our take on all of the Pacific Northwest bounty we’re lucky to have at our fingertips!

Cheers to all the families’ everywhere, stop into the market and enjoy our winter!

Lowell’s goes up, and the “Down Under” goe’s down below us!

Below Lowell's three floors are three more floors of unique shops. And this is just the main arcade side!

Below Lowell’s three floors are three more floors of unique shops. And this is just the main arcade side!

If you head out our doors and walk 5 shops north there’s a ramp leading down to a bunch of unique shops selling everything from vintage jewelery, magic tricks, collectible coins, to a ton of other things. Lowell’s has three floors going up, and the “Down Under” has three floors going down. You can have breakfast with us then head down under to shop all of the shops for inexpensive gifts to bring back home. Pike Place Market has alleys and ramps in all directions, and if you’ve never visited, plan at least a day or two. It’s like walking through the ancient markets of Morocco or some other place where the twisty streets go off in every direction to lose yourself in a great day of eating, drinking and merriment!

Lowell’s 2nd floor “HideAway” lunch specials today…

photos-37Today’s chilly weather lunch specials are smoky comfort food at its freshest! Our Soup of the Day is house-smoked turkey with fresh veggies and jasmine rice and we have our incredible Lowell’s Smoked Meatloaf Sandwich, which is unique, original and invented here! We make  a fantastic, house spiced meat-loaf covered with bacon and ketchup, then smoke it over alder wood chips to impart another depth of awesomeness to an already fantastic meatloaf,.Served on a fresh Macrina Bakery Ciabatta bun with Swiss cheese, whole grain-mayo sauce, lettuce and tomatoes, fries on the side.

We walked two doors over and picked out our wild king salmon this morning at Pure Food Fish, the Harry and the boys removed the scales & skin, broke down the whole fish (or fishes, as it were!) and “pin-boned” them for us. After Juan weighed and filleted beautiful 6oz fillets, they’ll be grilled to order and served today with a fresh relish of roasted garlic-basil-tomatoes, fresh market long beans and carrots and our jasmine rice pilaf. in addition to everything else on the menu, these specials offer a hearty comfort taste in the beginning of our Pacific Northwest winter!

Seahawks vs Forty-Niner’s… BLOW OUT!

I took a walk down to centurylink Field Sunday and was able to snag a ticket for the Hawks/Niner’s game televised at 5:00PM on the 23rd. Niner’s, best team in the NFL??? Not! Seahawks 42…Forty Niner’s 13. What a game! This promises to be a fantastic few more weeks of football; go Seahawks!

Love, Peace & Bacon Grease!

awesome bacon!!!We’re blanching the grease off of our thicker than anywhere else smoked bacon every morning right before you stop in for the best All-American breakfast in Seattle (Bacon & Eggs is the #1 breakfast in the USA, seriously) or one of our Pacific Northwest breakfasts found nowhere else.

Who doesn’t love bacon? Nobody! I mean, if they even make “vegetarian bacon” out of vegetarian stuff, then who can argue anything about American bacon that sides against everyone loving bacon? Look at all of the web sites and Facebook destinations for Bacon! AFTER, you stop in and eat some bacon.

Bacon, America’s favorite. And we at Lowell’s recognize the importance of a life that includes bacon.

Love, Peace (and we blanch off the bacon grease!)
