Fresh Wild “Blackened” King Salmon Fillet with Mediterranean Salad & Jasmine Rice Pilaf

Our fresh Mediterranean salad on the side of our fresh wild “blackened spiced” king salmon is so healthy and tasty the sum of the parts is sensational if I do brag about it more than usual.
Baby local hothouse tomatoes, capers, celery, carrots, kale, green onions, and fresh herbs tossed in our maple-chili vinaigrette dressing is the perfect counterpoint to king salmon’s richness. Mixed with our jasmine rice pilaf it is not only a beautiful plate, but a lunch you will find nowhere else. Freshness of quality ingredients put together with love by our kitchen family makes for a perfect stop in the friendliest restaurant & bar in Pike Place Market or the Pacific Northwest if I dare brag so much.
Stop in and look at the beautiful view of ferries crossing Puget Sound with The Olympic Mountains in the background before grabbing your Thanksgiving fixin’s to get cooking on tonight!

Our Holiday “Pre-Shopping Breakfasts” to manage the onslaught out in the stores!

Our “Lowell’s Breakfast Bowl” starts with two fresh baked Cheddar & Bacon “Strata” (biscuits!) topped with poached eggs and our hearty sausage gravy, all on top of a bed of crispy hash browns potatoes. Fill up with any of our great breakfasts, with a house-made spiced & spiked Washington apples cider, home-made hot buttered rum OR our “made from scratch” egg nog spiked with a shot of brandy before attack the stores. here’s a pic of our strata straight from the oven!

Seasonal Menu Changes in play at Lowell’s, these web site menu pages under construction this week!

OK, I just spent an hour updating new menu selections for the winter seasonal changes and the addition of some more homemade vegetarian options, sandwiches, craft drinks both with and without alcohol (we call these our “Muddler’s” because we muddle fresh fruits and mints and different things together to make tasty concoctions that are not boring!)

Anyway, I somehow didn’t save the edits correctly, so it will be a little longer this week before our web site here reflects the changes we all worked so long upon. Tasty, fresh, new, unique, and did I say FRESH??? We tested them on friends, neighbors and staff before bringing them on board the menus, so I assure you we love them as much as you will!

Nonetheless, with the holidays on us, the days are shorter so the sunsets out all three floors of windows are awesome and the perfect backdrop to a spiked and spiced Washington cider, a steaming bowl of fresh northwest steamer clams, our insanely original handmade and house infused Bloody Mary’s and all the other delectable stomach warmers we lovingly bring you.

NOW, back to my two-finger typing of the editing process which this time I’ll hopefully save correctly as to avoid another go at this!

Incredibley Healthy Egg Whites Vegetarian Breakfast Tacos!

Our “Incredible Breakfast Tacos” have always been a HUGE hit; all home-made salsas, Cotija cheese, home-made chorizo, avocado-tomato “fresca”, well, you get the picture; they’re incredible!

NOW, we add the healthiest version and they are equally INCREDIBLE, in fact, I like them better because they’re so damn healthy. Fresh egg whites (not Egg Beaters) scrambled with green onions, spinach and mushrooms and folded into grilled soft double corn tortillas. Then we sprinkle a generous blanket of authentic Mexican Cotija cheese over the top and some of our made fresh daily avocado-tomato fresca and put some of our house-made roasted tomatillo salsa on the side.

(The picture above from my phone camera is of the second of my two tacos this morning, after I’d already put the salsa on top along with local Washington State “Fletcher’s” hot sauce, which is outstanding in its own right!) Of course, our crispy thin shred hash browns come alongside.

These are great, we’ll make them for you now, and they will be on our new seasonal menu coming out in the first week of November. Why wait?

Also, back by popular OVER DEMAND, our fresh roasted pumpkin puree pancakes with all of the pumpkin pie spices cooked right in and then served with warm, home-made, slow cooked WA state apple compote-syrup! If these are not the greatest comfort breakfast for the holidays I don’t know what is! The spirit of home, always at Lowell’s in Pike Place Market, the friendliest bar, people & the freshest food & views Seattle has to offer!
